Paul Michienzie

Mr. Michienzie is a founding partner of Michienzie & Sawin.  The focus of Mr. Michienzie’s practice is insurance defense and commercial litigation.  Representative insurance defense practice areas include the defense of manufacturers, suppliers, design professionals, construction companies and other businesses against claims of negligence, bad faith, breach of warranty, products liability, construction defect and premises liability in large-loss and complex, multi-party cases.  Representative commercial litigation includes lender liability defense, default servicing litigation and bankruptcy matters.

Mr. Michienzie is a graduate of Boston College (A.B., magna cum laude) and Boston College Law School (J.D.), where he was a staff writer and an Associate Editor for Willier & Hart’s Uniform Commercial Code Reporter Digest.  

Mr. Michienzie previously practiced at Morrison, Mahoney & Miller in Boston.  He then worked as in-house counsel at General Cinema Corporation, where his responsibilities included supervising outside counsel.  He then joined Gaffin & Krattenmaker, where his practice included nationwide representation of multi-national corporations in complex products liability matters.  He became a shareholder in Gaffin & Krattenmaker before co-founding Michienzie & Sawin in 2000.

Mr. Michienzie is admitted to practice in the Massachusetts state and federal courts.
